The A/V system has a hands-free module(110) for processing a voice signal and outputting the signal to a portable phone(350) or a speaker(334) in a vehicle. The vehicle information terminal includes a CDMA modem(210) for radio communication with an external device; a switch unit(240) for selectively connecting the CDMA modem and the portable phone, and outputting a voice signal to the hands-free module; an A/D converter(440) for converting the analog key value input from a key input unit(410) into a digital key value; a D/A converter(430) for converting the digital key value input from the A/D converter into an analog key value, and outputting the analog key value in accordance with a control signal; and a controller(250) for outputting a control signal to the D/A converter during operation of the CDMA modem, outputting the analog key value through the D/A converter, and controlling the switch unit such that the portable phone or the CDMA modem is selectively connected to the hands-free module.
