[ATSC 특허포토폴리오 라이센스를 발표한 엠펙 LA] CHEVY CHASE, MD., September 20 /CNW/ 엠펙 LA(MPEG LA, LLC)는 오늘 ATSC Patent Portfolio License가 가능하다고 발표하였다. 이러한 조인트 라이센스는 Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC)에 의해 개발된 디지털 TV에 사용되는 필수 특허를 포함하고 있으며, 이러한 TV는 미국, 한국, 멕시코, 캐나다 및 기타 다른 국가에서 판매되고 있다. 상기 필수 특허 보유권자들에는 Zenith Electronics Corporation; Scientific-Atlanta, Inc.; Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.; Mitsubishi Electric Corporation; Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (Panasonic); LG Electronics Inc.; 와 Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.들이 포함되어 있다.
