Objectives
To develop an eco-friendly drainage system that prevents flooding in Government Technical High School (GTHS) in Pinlon province
To minimize the impact development has on the local environment
To improve the sustainability of drainage system
Current Situation
In 2015, KIPO developed a drainage system for GTHS using patent information. Throughout its development, KIPO focused on its sustainability, therefore, the drainage system was made with Low Impact Development (LID)* to conserve the water circulation system. Additionally, it was constructed from local materials. As a result, two pieces of infiltration equipment that stores water and drainage were installed as a drainage system.
* LID(Low Impact Development) : An alternative form of technology which minimizes the impact of the water circulation system during development
